Kate Simko - Had It All >>> [BUY IT]
I just cannot stop. I can't.
California's Kate Simko has just unleashed some seriously dangerous heat on her most recent release, an LP aptly named "Lights Out", which I think is an absolute knockout album put out by the guys over at Hello ? Repeat last month. The release holds a total of eleven deadly dittys, ranging from minimalistic missles to deep depth charges, all of which will rattled my sad bag of bones while leaving my dancing feet stuck to the dance floor.
Resident Advisor's Andrew Ryce did a review of the album - - scoring it a 3/5 - - which I do not personally agree with. Nonetheless, his opinion offers a different perspective on the release, which I think is simply brilliant. Give his article a gander over here.
Big. That is all I will really say about this release, a complete package that no lover of deep house, techno and minimal should live without. Check out the two picks I have decided to share, humble hummer Had It All and bass heavy bruiser Flight Into BA. Although I cannot say with confidence whether these two are my favourites on this album or not, I am sure that most will agree that this release is stacked with some serious stingers that may leave you in a super-duper-stupor. I have provided a 128kbps version of Flight Into BA, so save it and make sure you play it...on a big set of speakers of course. Seriously, Simko bangs it out hard on this one.
